OKAZU Chili Miso Garlic Confit Dip

This is our new home staple and we cannot get enough. We embrace the classic hummus, and give it an OKAZU make-over, replacing the spices with the gentle notes of the OKAZU Chili Miso Garlic confit. It is perfect for dipping, spread for sandwiches, added to dressings and as a topping. This can be stored in the fridge for up to a week.

Ingredients

  • 1 can of chickpeas, rinsed and drained, save the aquafaba for other recipes
  • 3-4 cloves of fresh garlic
  • 3-5 cloves of OKAZU Chili Miso Garlic Confit
  • 2-3 Tbsp of OKAZU Chili Miso Garlic Confit oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup of neutral oil
  • ¼ cup water (optional), for consistency if mixture is too thick
  • Lemon juice, to taste

Garnish with:

  • OKAZU Chili Miso Roasted Chickpeas (optional)
  • Roasted sesame seeds (optional)

Directions:

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blitz until hummus-like consistency is achieved.
  2. Add lemon juice and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if necessary, blitz for 30 more seconds.
