OKAZU Maple Glazed Bacon Pancakes
Indulge in the perfect blend of sweet and spicy with our OKAZU Maple Glazed Bacon Pancakes.
Ingredients
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 2 Tbsp OKAZU Chili Miso
- 2 Tbsp butter, unsalted
- 3-4 pcs bacon strips, per pancake
- 1-2 cups prepared pancake batter mix
Garnish with:
- Sautèed oyster mushrooms and cherry tomatoes
- Eggs, by preference
- OKAZU Chili Miso Maple Glaze
Directions:
- Make the glaze by combining the maple syrup, OKAZU Chili Miso and butter in a pot on medium heat.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 5 mins. The mixture should continue to bubble throughout. Set aside when done.
- In a pan, sear the bacon strips.
- When the bacon starts to caramelize, add maple glaze and reduce for 1-2 mins.
- Pour the pancake batter into the bacon strips and cover the pan to cook the pancakes evenly.
- The pancake is ready to flip when the top starts to set, with plenty of bubble pockets.
- Serve with preferred garnish, and top with more glaze if desired.
